Community Mentorship Program
(Adapted from Alouette
website)
The CN Adopt an Alouette program
was created in 1998 to try to counteract high dropout
rates among students. Through this player-driven,
in-school mentorship program we reach an average
of 60,000 adolescents in Quebec high schools annually.
Our players involved in the CN Adopt an Alouette program
receive more than 20 hours of presentation training
from one of the leading presenters on issues of
adolescent development in the country, Dr. Ron
Clavier...Dr. Ron also makes about 30 school visits
accompanied by a player. On some visits Dr. Ron
joins Alouette players in a basketball game against
school staff. |
